And why am I not at FetishCon??

Yep, two updates in one day. Hooooorah! Can you handle it? Gawd, I hope so, because I'm not sure if I can...lol


I just got asked the question a little while ago: Why are YOU not at Fetishcon? Fair question, deserves a fair answer. And I can do that in one word:


DRAMA


It's a good event, it has been running for a number of years, beginning with its roots in New York City. But even then it was overflowing with drama, part of the reason why it got moved south to Tampa


I had originally planned to attend. Not to shoot ... in my original days almost every photoshoot was at a hotel or motel room. It was then that I discovered that most discount motels used the same style bed cover. The same wallpaper. And the same furniture. Which means that oh-so-many of the photos back in the day looked like they had been shot in the same place.


Okay, much of the same can be said of my studio, but I try to use different props, different areas in the studio, and even paint the walls a different color (which has interestingly caused my digital camera to become a little psychotic .. but that's another story!)


But back to Fetish con ......


This year, more than most, it has become - at least in this ol' man's opinion - more populated by drama llamas. I don't need to fly to Tampa for that ... there's enough of it in the ol' 'Burgh. And though a few folks who I wanted to spend a bit of time with - elbow bending at the bar - would be there, quite a few others for one reason or another would not be.


If you have kept track of what the old guy is doing lately, you'll see that he doesn't have to make the trip to Tampa to find models (don't ya just love it when someone talks in the third person ... I try to sneak that sports talk in every so often!). So here I stay ... in the week in which I would have been in Tampa, taking the time to breath two or three times in a row, getting ready for a series of mega-shoots, each week, every week, from now through October.


And I don't even have to leave town to do it! Hehehehe
